The 25 Bestselling Cars, Trucks, and SUVs of 2025 (So Far)

We all know the best-selling vehicles in America are trucks. And that is the current situation for the top two best sellers, the Ford F-Series and the Chevrolet Silverado, in that order. But after that, there is a little shakeup. Typically, Ram trucks are in third place, but as of right now, the list looks a little different. Let’s take a look.  

Trucks Are Still the Top Sellers 

Crossovers and SUVs are making larger pushes each year, challenging the status quo of truck sales. While there are still lots of trucks in the top 10, such as the Ram in 5th, the GMC Sierra in 6th, and the Toyota Tacoma in 9th, there isn’t another truck until you get to the Ford Maverick in 24th. 

Crossovers Are Coming on Strong 

With nearly 700,000 sales between them, the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V are currently occupying the 3rd and 4th spots. After that, the Tesla Model Y, Chevy Equinox, Chevy Trax, Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Rogue, Ford Explorer, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Subaru Crosstrek, Kia Sportage, Subaru Forester, Jeep Wrangler, and Subaru Outback all round out the list from 8th to 25th.  

Regular Cars Still Matter To Some 

There are quite a few sedans mixed throughout the top 25 vehicles, such as the Toyota Camry, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Tesla Model 3, and Nissan Sentra, which rank 7th, 11th, 12th, 21st, and 23rd, respectively.  

Only 11 of the top 25 vehicles sold in America are not SUVs, with five being cars and six being trucks. This indicates the growing preference for crossovers and SUVs, which offer a more suitable size and usability, with fewer compromises. Modern SUVs and crossovers offer a more car-like driving experience with good to great fuel economy, while still retaining similar capabilities to trucks.
